Riding and stopping on the up-and-down
Often drivers need to make such a maneuver, as the clutch is on the rise. While driving uphill, the vehicle must overcome the difficult maneuver, which is that your car won’t roll down, where it can be another car or go for a pedestrian, grow a tree, etc. For beginners the hill start is often one of the most complicated, but in reality, this maneuver is not as complicated as it seems, most importantly when it runs it’s keeping the attention and coordinated action.
To avoid accidents on the road when you still have to make a stop on a slope, is to practice this technique is especially hard. At the beginning of the movement on the rise, you experience, processes such as overcoming the resistance force of the swing of the wheels, the forces of inertia and forces of resistance to rise. Accordingly, the rotational speed of a crankshaft when the clutch is on the rise should exceed a frequency at start-up from a level place, and you need to take measures to prevent the vehicle from rolling down.
The first presented method is well suited for starting off on the rise in a steep rise, and the difficulty of the movement standing very close by car. It is best to practice this maneuver on the overpass.
At the beginning of the exercise, you need to make sure that our actions are safe, then, from the starting position you need to go on the climb, stopping at pre-marked lines directly on the rise. After that click on the service brake, keeping your car on the hoist, lift the Parking brake lever up, remove your foot off the brake and press sharply on the clutch pedal, thereby turning it on. Once again, is to ensure the safety of your movement. Then shift into first gear, slowly releasing the clutch pedal (without “gripping” clutch), and simultaneously press the gas pedal, thereby increasing the frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft (the greater the angle, the greater must be the speed). And when you feel the moment you turn the clutch, start slowly to release the Parking brake, and simultaneously increase the pressure on the gas pedal, which will further increase the frequency of rotation of the crankshaft. After that, you can fully release the Parking brake, if the car began to move smoothly without slipping down.
The second way
When you run starting at the lift on a small roller coaster is better to use another method in which you need to “catch” your car using a clutch pedal. This method is carried out according to the following scheme.
Starting position: the car with the engine running is downhill, while incorporating first gear, depress the clutch pedal, the car is kept from slipping down by using the brake pedal. Performing this method, the first thing you should do is to remove your foot from the brake pedal and place it on the gas pedal, but do it very quickly. Because in this moment may be a small setback, to be precise – he’s definitely going to happen. When done correctly, the roll down will be negligible (in the range of 20 – 30 cm). Immediately after this action, you need to properly release the clutch pedal, so that the pullback stopped in time, i.e. you need to “catch” a car with a clutch pedal. The pedal should go smoothly and not to the end. Otherwise your car will stall. Simultaneously, smoothly and slowly increase the feed of fuel, the car is a little backsliding, and then start moving ahead already.
Consider the most typical errors that allowed drivers with little driving experience.
One of the first mistakes can be called a psychological factor, most novice drivers think that this maneuver is very difficult, and in consequence it is not confident, and therefore are afraid to perform this maneuver. Naturally, with psychological suspense to successfully perform the maneuver is extremely difficult. This maneuver should be treated as well as to many others, as, learn to press the pedal correctly, you will not be difficult to do starting on the rise.
Another common error is that when performing the maneuver, the driver is very slow foot moves from the brake to the gas, the car is severely slipping backwards. But it is worth noting that in most cases this can be corrected (but undesirable), how often a young driver begins to panic, for example, it can dramatically drop the clutch, as a result, the car stalls. So do not make panic, and just quickly move your foot from the brake to the gas pedal and letting go at the right distance the clutch pedal, increase the fuel supply.
The third common error is the inability to determine the distance that you need to release the clutch pedal. Whereby the vehicle begins to roll backwards at a great distance or deaf. In order not to make this error, you need to learn to “feel” their car. Most often this problem is solved after a number of workouts.
Continuing the theme of mistakes, it is worth remembering errors, such as too sharp throwing the clutch and when the clutch is released smoothly, but they forget at the same time to increase the fuel supply. As a result of these errors, your car stalls. Sometimes beginners make the opposite mistake, they are too strongly press the gas pedal, causing the car to jerk and very dramatically “break”. These and many other errors can be eliminated by training, to go to which you should responsibly and diligently. With the right approach to training and accountability you will not be difficult to master all the skills of driving.
